This section explains how to manage opt outs in your Campaign Manager account.
Once you have logged on to the Cloud Portal and launched Campaign Manager you can search your current opted out contacts in the Unsubscribe Report in the Reports section or by running a manual search from the Manage Contacts homepage. Please see the Unsubscribe Report section in this user guide for further details.
Individual Opt OUTs
If you want to manually opt out contacts individually. Go to Manage Contacts in Common Tasks or Contacts section and search for the contact you need to opt out. The quickest way to find a contact is by searching for the mobile number/s.
Once you have found the contact you are looking for, click the ‘Edit’ (blue crayon) icon on the contact to see the contact's individual record. Tick ‘Opt out this contact’to manually opt out this contact or un-tick to opt in.
Bulk Opt OUTs
To opt contacts out in bulk you can import a file of opt outs, just as you would normally import contacts but with an additional column labelled Opt Out. This column should include the word TRUE next to any mobile number you would like to opt out.
When you import this file, follow the usual steps but when you come to mapping the fields of your data, map the field Opt Out in your data file to the field Opt Out on Campaign Manager. This will force Campaign Manager to import and update the saved contacts as opted out.
Bulk Opt INs
To change opted out contacts back to opted in you can import a file of Opt Ins. It is very important that you ensure that those customers who you opt in have chosen to receive SMS from you.
To opt contacts in in bulk you can import a file of opt ins, just as you would normally import contacts but with an additional column labelled Opt Out. This column should include the word FALSE next to any mobile number you would like to opt out.
To enable opt ins, when you are importing your file, check the box that says ‘Allow Opt Ins’. This will initiate a warning pop up. If you are sure you want to opt the customers in your file back in, click ‘OK - I Understand’. This will allow you to update any existing contacts that are opted out and opt them back in.
If you do not want to opt those contacts back in click ‘Do not allow Opt ins.
