Test & Seed Contacts
When creating and managing marketing or communications campaigns of any kind, you need to be able to test and confirm the campaign. Our "Test & Seed Contacts" allow you to do this in Campaign Manager. You can create a test contact and send a campaign test to them for approval before deployment, as well as send campaign confirmation alerts (SMS containing informaiton about the campaign, e.g. name and number of contacts) to the contact when the campaign is deployed. You can also send confirmation emails, and copies of the message.
To set up test or seed contacts, go to Test & Seed Contacts under the Campaign Manager Settings menu.
N.B. this is the only part of Campaign Manager settings that can be accessed by both administrators and users.
This will then open the Test & Seed Contacts page. Here you will be able to see any current Test & Seed Contacts that you may have as well as be able to add and delete them. Select the relevant icon adjacent to the contact's name to edit or delete them. If you make any changes, click "Save" to update the contact. If you try to delete a contact, you will be asked to confirm you want to do so.
To add a new test contact
To add new Test and Seed Numbers click ‘Create Test & Seed Contact’.
You will need to fill in mobile number, and country as well as choose your options from the tick boxes.
You can also include any other fields you will need to test to the number. For example, if you want to include merge fields in your messages, you will need to include data in those fields in the test contact so that they will receive a complete test message. Once you have completed the information, click "Save" to save the contact to the Test & Seed Contacts list.
