To access it
The Summary Report can be accessed from within the User Portal once logged in
What it’s used for
The Summary Report is used for general reporting on messaging activity for a particular user.
To make things easier, the tool is split into three tabs, each tab drills deeper into the data than the previous tab.
The statistics tab provides you with a brief overview of messaging activity for a particular period and summarises it in a number of ways, by table data, a pie chart and a flow chart. This provides you with quick information that is usually the most important, such as:
· How often the user sends messages
· What the user’s busiest days are
· What the quality of the user’s data is (by looking at the largest segment of the pie chart)
The top most section shows you general information on the system’s overall status and contact information for Sales and Support.
The flow chart allows you to click and drag over a particular time period, allowing you to zoom in on a particular day.
There are also quick views for checking a user’s purchase history from the latest to oldest information and a link for buying additional message credits.
The analysis tab allows you search for summarised messaging information for a user. It provides accurate information on the most relevant stats such as message submissions, deliveries, messages awaiting delivery, expired, rejected and failed messages, and inbound received messages.
Data are provided for in a summarised table view on per status basis (the 1st table) and another on a per day basis (2nd section). This section can viewed on a tabular or graph basis, which is essentially the same as the flow chart found in the “Statistics” tab.
The search tab provides information on the actual messages that were sent for a user. This is slightly more complex and provides a number of filters to find exact messages.
A few notes to remember
The Summary Report is a reporting only tool. It does not provide any means of sending messages or creating any data that can impact the user’s account. Any information that is entered in this tool is only used to search for data, nothing gets saved.
All data that is provided in the Analysis and Search tabs can be exported to excel. You can also export the graphs to images and save them to your desktop, but you cannot export graphs to excel.
All the graphs are interactive. So if you hover over a line, it’ll highlight the entire line. If you click on an item in the legend, it’ll enable/disable that particular item.
