We recommend that instead of E-txt Desktop you use our SaaS application, Message Manager. Simply login to our User Portal and select Applications - Message Manager.
A contact can belong to one or more groups, or can appear only in the general contacts list. Groups are useful when regular messages need to be sent to certain people contained within your database.
A school may have parents’ details on their contacts list, but it would also make sense to have them grouped by class. Then messages can be sent to the parents’ of children in one class, reporting updates and estimated arrival times during school trips.
Right click on the ‘General Contacts’ option in the left hand navigation tree and select ‘New Group’.
You can use search criteria to select various contacts or manually add one by one. You can also add contacts from this page should you find you are missing someone from your contact list.
Use the drop down option to search for contacts that are already contained within a different group.
You can also remove contacts from a group here.
Once you have saved your group it will appear in the left hand navigational tree, under your general contacts.
