We recommend that instead of E-txt Desktop you use our SaaS application, Message Manager. Simply login to our User Portal and select Applications - Message Manager.
If any issues arise from using e-txt in Windows 7, it could be related to certain incompatibilities with the application.
By trying the following steps you should be able to solve it:
If you right click on the e-txt icon on your desktop, and click on “Open File location”, you’ll be taken to the installation directory of e-txt.
You’ll see that the e-txt application is already selected (will be displayed as either e-txt or e-txt.exe). Right click on the application and click on properties.
From there, click on the “Compatibility” tab.
Under the “Compatibility mode” section, check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” box and select “Windows XP (Service Pack 3)”.
Also, under the “Privilege Level” section, check the “Run this program as an administrator” box.
This last checkbox isn’t necessarily required, but it might save some unneeded clicking when starting up e-txt, particulary if User Account Control is switched on.
Once done, click on Apply and then OK.
