We recommend that instead of E-txt Desktop you use our SaaS application, Message Manager. Simply login to our User Portal and select Applications - Message Manager.
It depends on a variety of factors, such as what Windows Server their running (E-txt doesn’t support Server 2008 R2) and what version of E-txt has been installed.
Another factor is also what Operating system the clients are connecting from.
If it is Windows 7 there might be issues since we’ve never tested anything like this.
In an ideal scenario the server will be Server 2003, running E-txt version 5.3.2 or higher with the clients all on Windows XP/ Vista / 7.
E-txt supports fast user switching which indirectly means it needs to be able to run by more than one person.
That’s been verified by Microsoft in a Vista / Server 2003 scenario so it should be OK.
If you want to share access to your messaging account we suggest using Message Manager from our User Portal
