Donky will support the following ways of segmenting and targeting users to allow integrators to send effective targeted campaigns to their user base:
External User Identifiers
A list of external user identifiers the message will be sent to; this should have a centrally configurable limit of 50,000 messages per call.
One or more tags can be specified and the message will be sent to all active App Users devices who have indicated an interest in either all of the specified tags, or one of the specified tags depending on the callers preference.
If this option is used a message will be sent to all active App Users devices.
Device Specific Broadcasts
If this option is used a message will be sent to all active App Users devices that match the specified device type and OS. The options to choose from are:
The user should have the ability to send a service message out to all active users of the application space in case of service issues within their application. The service message will be text based only and delivered as either a simple push message, or chat message dependent on the user’s choice. If simple push message type is selected the message will be limited to 146 characters of length, otherwise a limit of 2048 characters should be applied.
