As part of a short term offer or campaign, it can be useful to have control over message expiry, Campaign Builder allows you to configure expiry, so that you can replace a message with different content after it becomes no longer relevant.
For example, if you are running an offer for 24 hours, you wouldn’t want your users to receive a message containing the offer after that, so you can configure a 24 hour expiry. When the user reads the message after that, they will receive the "Expired message content", informing them the offer is no longer relevant.
Expiry is not available for Simple Push or Chat Messages.
Expiring a Rich Message
On the compose message screen you can choose to activate expiry. Check the box "Include expired message", and add in your expiry time. This can be only a maximum of 30 days. The Donky Network only hosts assets (images, documents etc.) which are in use in a message, for 30 days, after that if the message will be removed from the inbox.
Your expired message content will replace your original message after the expiry time has elapsed, and at the end of the 30 day period the message will be removed from the inbox completely.
