Push notifications are a permission based messaging service; this means that you must have the user’s consent in order to message them. This consent is usually (programmable by the app developer) requested on download or update of the app.
A user can switch off all push notifications from within the device settings, or switch off push notifications for Donky from within the app settings. Once they have done so, they will no longer receive push notifications from your app or Donky. Donky is still capable of receiving messages but only when your Donky enabled app is opened by the user. We strongly recommend that push notifications remain enabled to ensure Donky enabled apps remain responsive to messaging.
